Wow... it looks like USA suppliers have majorly trimmed down their offerings. Gray used to be quite common, now it's nonexistent.
Your best bet is probably contacting https://www.cabriozentrum.com/en . They're former Karmann folks who struck out on their own. They have gray listed as an option, but you have to contact them about it. _________________ ~Kamz

I'm in need of a source for the pebble-grain vinyl material in medium-dark grey color that Rabbit/Golf cabriolet tops were made from. Image attached here shows pages from a 'Crown Auto Top' upholstery shop sample book in the upper part of the image with the yellow pen pointing to the vinyl that I need. It is stock #589.
The lower half of the image is from a 'Robbins Auto Top' supplier and the grey on the left (#RC DGG) or on the right (#VW DGG) are the ones that I'm needing. These samples are from my wife's upholstery shop in the 1990's. We need material to fabricate a replacement cover for our 1963 Type 117 sunroof sedan. Thanks for any info on a source for this material.
Any leads on finding this material will be greatly appreciated. |
