I've got a stock '71 beetle and was wondering if someone could tell me if a P235/60R-15 BFG T/A radial tire will fit on the rear with no modifications. The engine and trans is out of mine so I can't tell if the top of the fender will have enough clearance.

Sounds like they will be far too wide and rub...I think a 215 is about the widest for the rear...
