Got a type three engine and need to know some info on year and size. The number on the top is : 0441759 It has dual solex 32's and a smaller flywheel.

What you have is a replacement case from the VW factory. Look and see if it has 6mm or 8mm oil pump studs and weather it has a single oil releaf plug or dual.
