I haven't seen a volumex in years, Abarth used them on supercharged Fiat's and Lancia's back in the day. Thanks for the post!
Any idea where they are still available these days? _________________ Build thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212747

very cool thanks for sharing. do you know what kind of power the engine makes and how is the drivability. looks like it could use a littel more carb possible a small 4barrel. not that the hollyweber dosent work on some apps. again nice job. jeff d. _________________ www.dprmachine.com |

@ katherine23 & jeff denham,
It was installed only a few weeks ago,
but the first test runs are very hopegiving.
And the sound it produces is really awesome
But it still can use some extra finetuning,
because at present, it still gobbles too much fuel, (but improving).
Then we'll have to find out if it's reliable for the next 1000 miles,
we'll know a lot more after the summer season.

Yes, it's based on a stock T4 cooling system.
But he made the housing 1 1/12 inch wider,
wich allows him to install a 1 inch wider cooling fan.

I dig the supercharger; always cool to see somebody think outside of the box.
I don't dig the exhaust. Sometimes it's necessary to do a lot of thinking INSIDE of the box and just stay there. _________________

Why not just make a custom set of wires with a Y splice in them. Then you could just run one distributor. |
I don't think electrickery works that way |
