Anyone switched from a pop-top camper to a standard, or vice versa? I've never had a pop-top but it seems like they'd be fun. I don't think I'd like one much for daily driving, though, but I'm considering trying one out anyone. Found a decent '71 by my house for $3500 obo.

Do some searching. It has been done both ways.

Our first bus was a Kombi. Our last two have been Westy's. I couldn't imagine going back to a people mover. Peace!

have driven both--extensively. pops are a little top heavy. nothing a heavy duty sway bar wouldn't take care of though. they both have their perks.

you can't fit seven friends in a westy. but you also can't eat dinner in relative comfort in a kombi either.

i love my dad's tin top '68 westy.
