I am looking to have my 65 Beetle restored.
I was looking to have a body-off paint job and have the chassis powdercoated and sealed.
Does anyone know of a good place to have these things done in the Greater Philadelphia Area? If not in the immediate area, i would be willing to take a trip.
Thanks in advance. _________________ 1965 Beetle

the thread title is a little confusing...Philly is in the SE
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=672360
Wagenwerks
1002 E Willow Grove Ave
Glenside, PA 19038
(215) 836-2506
Precision VW
1525 Belfield Ave
Philadelphia, PA 19141
215-329-4411
These are the places I know of. Haven't used either, but I've heard good things about Wagenwerks. I'm pretty new to the scene, but there are a couple of Philly guys on the boards that might more help. |

This thread seemed as good as any to resurrect.
Looking for restoration work for my 1971 bus. Just a wee bit-o-rust around the windshield (mostly). Otherwise a straight, original paint, bus. _________________ 1974 Thing - x-Acapulco

Camden is a very bad area, I wouldn't leave my car over night there. |

Camden has gone through a lot of changes, it's not as bad as it once was. Think of how bad Hoboken once was and now look at what it is today ! _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

My band is playing on the Battleship NJ in two weeks. That's docked on the NJ side of the river so I'll be in Camden. I will check out the area. _________________ 1974 Thing - x-Acapulco

I think it was just 2 or 3 years ago that Camden, NJ was the murder capital of the United States. It ranked number one. Most of the improvements have been like putting lipstick on a pig.

There is a heavy police presents for all the waterfront attractions. Its once you leave that area that things get bad quickly. |

Bus still needs this work done. Is this area simply out of good body-guys or are they all in hiding? _________________ 1974 Thing - x-Acapulco

Check out Schaeffers Auto in Limerick, PA. Ask for Bob. He has several VWs and has done others at the shop.
