i've been sent an engle 100 that is ground on a SC1 cam blank. i read the older posts but seems that there is no clear answer. is thera a recommended tappet to be used with this cam?

Try the new Engle lifters.

are those guaranteed to be good? i 've seen that they now sell "kits". are those kits with those parts?

Engle developed their kits so all parts are compatible and work well together. Follow Engles break in instructions too.
