Diesel starter install question

Does the clutch slave bracket go on top of the starter flange, or does the starter flange go on top of the clutch bracket? My Bentley doesn't show which way, and is basically the installation of a water or air cooled starter which doesn't bolt up to the clutch bracket like a diesel.

The starter goes in against the tranny and then the clutch slave bracket goes against the starter.
