I have an original Hurst Saf-T-Trigger shifter that the plastic top plate has pretty much cracked and disintegrated on. Does anybody know if there is a way to rebuild these shifters or get replacement parts?
The Hurst website give a link to someone in South Carolina who is suppose to be their authorized rebuild/repair guy and I have emailed and called using the info given on the site but have never been able to get a hold of anybody or get a response through email. I don't want to just mail it to the address given without knowing if the address is still even good or not, or to find out I just mailed an expensive shifter to a company that is no longer in business. Any help would be appreciated.
This is the contact info I've been using to try to get in touch with someone with, but have had zero luck so far.

Take the plastic plates from an EMPI trigger shifter (you can toss the rest). Small screws and locknuts to replace the 4 rivets. |

Any machinist can make that part from metal or plastic. It could be bolted or pop riveted together. _________________ Grubby Fingers Racing

Awesome, thanks for the responses. I really appreciate it. Now I wish I would have kept the EMPI version that was in my '72 when it was totaled out. |
