Hi
On a 69 Fastback, where is the fuel pump relay?
I located the power supply relay for fuel injection system located under the rear seat near the the Regulator.
The FB is not starting so I am trying to determine the cause and figured the relays would be the best place to start.
The power supply relay tested at 11.9 V.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks _________________ Ed

| Usually under the dash on the driver's side, mounted to the bulkhead. |

What I found under the dash was 311-941-583A which according the the number is the headlight relay. _________________ Ed

Can anyone please take a photo of where to find this fuel pump relay by the dash and post it?
I pulled down the fuse panel and wound up pulling out the headlight relay since that was the only one I saw up in there.
I appreciate it.

It should be mounted to the front bulkhead with a screw. Follow the speedo cable.

Found it. Thanks
The one with the dual connectors in he photo has two red wires and then the single red wire towards the middle. My relay has the two prongs and the single prong but only one red wire is connected to the dual with another red wire on the single prong.
The car does start.
The car is fuel injected.
I am thinking maybe it is a wire for the auxiliary air valve.
Then again...maybe nothing goes there. Bentley looks like it shows nothing connected there for 1969. Relay #2 in the center of the image. I know these relays are multipurpose so not everything that has a plug gets a wire.
Thanks for all the help.

Terminal 87 is the power supply to the fuel pump. The additional small red wire on my car goes up into the main loom towards the back of the car, likely for the AAR since my car is an automatic transmission and has an electric AAR.
So what's the problem again? I thought the car wouldn't start. _________________ 71 Elm Green FI A/T Squareback

It wouldn't start before. Once I located the relay and plugged in the white plug it starts just fine. It's all good now _________________ Ed

Ah, I see. Good detective work.
The white wire is Wire 19, which goes to the ECU and provides the ground for the fuel pump. _________________ 71 Elm Green FI A/T Squareback |

...and on it's way to the ECU it goes through the T1 connector at the forward left engine bay, usually at the front tin. You can ground that wire and force the pump to run continuously. |
