Hi,,
Installing rebuilt auto tranny and torque converter. Do I pre-fill the torque converter with a little ATF? _________________ 2x 1974 Karmann Ghia Coup

I have never in my automotive career pre filled a TQ. the minute you start the car, the front pump will empty the pan and start filling stuff.
it's very important to look at the fluid level the first few mins of running. a typical TQ holds 2 quarts of fluid. the only thing I have ever done is overfill by 1 qt on initial start up and add as needed from there _________________

Thanks for the correction. I used to be a nice guy, then I ruined it by exposing myself to the public. |
