Hi,,

Installing rebuilt auto tranny and torque converter. Do I pre-fill the torque converter with a little ATF?

I think so. There is a procedure in the Bentley

I have never in my automotive career pre filled a TQ. the minute you start the car, the front pump will empty the pan and start filling stuff.

it's very important to look at the fluid level the first few mins of running. a typical TQ holds 2 quarts of fluid. the only thing I have ever done is overfill by 1 qt on initial start up and add as needed from there
