I am putting in my 1977 VW Bus 2L some Weber 40 IDF dual carbs but when I was removing the old set of 34 ICT I noticed that there is a vacuum line running from the old manifold to the break Servo. The new 40 IDFs do not have the port for that vacuum line. I am not sure what to do with it can I just cap it off or will that totally defeat the purpose of the servo all together. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

Look at my pictures in my gallery. 40 idf carburetors from Spain and Italy
Have the ports.
Your choice without ports is to run a fully mechanical distributor

I misread your post
Manifold vacuum for your brake booster has nothing to do with your idf carbs.
Both intake manifolds Not carburetors supply that vacuum
Drilled and tapped and booster hose teed together.

Just get a shop to weld up a boss on each manifold (if there isn't already a boss there) and drill and tap if for a suitably sized pipe fitting.

Connection to one manifold is enough. A little less pipework that way.

Drilling both manifolds is unnecessary and pointless.
