Solex 30 PICT 2 choke

My Solex 30 PICT 2 seems to be missing the choke butterfly flap!

I am assuming this isn't some mod that people do?

I've only just got the car and I'm investigating poor idle.

Is it possible to get parts for these carbs?

It's not a common mod, but if someone took Muir's book as gospel it could happen. That's not available new, if I needed one I'd buy a core at the next swap meet, or from a seller in the classifieds here.
