I came across a mid 60’s hood/trunk lid on the cheap. After further inspection, it looks as if it was stored upside down at one time, sat with water in it, and actually has a rust through spot about 3 inches long in the center rib. Other than that, it’s a nice useable panel. Has anyone cut the center rib out of a later, panel, and grafted it into an earlier one to repair rust/severe dent? Is the center rib stamping, in litterally the center of the panel, the same stamping, say 61-77?
