I've used one before in a Beetle, it didn't last more than a couple years. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

More like NeverStart.
I had one that lasted about 9 months, got another under warranty & that one made it another 8 months. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

I've got the second one in my bug. Comes with a 3 year warranty. They last 3 years, 3 months. Next time I'm going to spend the extra $ and get Interstate. |

Was just going to say, I've used EverStarts with no real issues, even the cheaper priced "Value Start" reconditioned Ever Start, no complaints, BUT if I had the choice I'd go with an Interstate. _________________ I'm the humblest guy on this board.

I've had a group 96 silver advanced auto battery in my daily driver for over three years now and 27k+ miles. Still cranking strong. _________________ "Men are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition

Forgot to reply…I did get the Interstate 96R for my 73’. It works fine. Fits just like a 42. $104 plus core at Costco _________________ Ron

Alternate battery sizes batteries instead of Group 42: 96R and 47/H5 even have recessed terminals, which is a bonus on our cars (96R includes a cover as well) 24F is said to work, group 58R battery too. I have 26R from Walmart in my 1970. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each.
