New bumper mount 66 VW

Hello everyone, I had to replace the rusted bumper bracket mount on my 1966 Beetle with an aftermarket one. I've clamped it in place with a few clamps and the two bottom screws. I installed the fender, grommet, and bracket, but I don't have references for proper alignment. Can you help me determine if it looks okay from these pictures?
Additionally, there should be a gap between the body and the fender for the fender beading. Could you advise on how many millimeters the gap should be at the point indicated by the arrow?
I assume that if the bracket is coming out of the grommet, the alignment is fine since I was able to screw it to the mount?

So, can I again say it's good if it's going into the grommet and able to match the two bolt holes on the bracket with the bolt nuts on the bumper mount, and was able to bolt them in?
