How long do you hold the button down. I just push for a sec along with the brake pedal. My Wife is always saying, “didn’t you hear it struggling?” And claims I don’t push it long enough. I never have heard a struggle and pretty much assume that the button automatically does it’s job. It’s not like turning a key, too short or even too long. Googling just sends you down a lost key fob rabbit hole. And the Nissan videos just push the button.

Until it starts.

Push it the same length as twisting the key.

Momentary push button in my wife's (Hyundai) car. Same with the key in my old Ram. Momentary twist of the key and the computer does the rest.

I’ve had push button cars for the last 10 years. Never had an issue. Apparently she just has an issue with me.
