Rear bumper curve?

I am restoring a my 66 bus and now i need to fit the rear bumper.

There are new rear corners on the bus with no hole for the splash pans, i mounted the bumper to draw where the holes needed to be and drill them.

I noticed the bumper curves a lot.. everything seems to fit nice so i don't know if its normal?

I dont have a spare bumper or other bus for reference..
