What degree of angle is standard for a dune buggy. Right now mine is almost 40 degrees but I am making new mounts and can change it. I am also making a new full cage and want to match the windshield angle. |

Guessing you mean 40° from vertical? Mine's more like 40° from horizontal (but it's a different kinda buggy).

Mine is 40 degrees vertically. The top of the windshield is laid back more than the bottom. 90 degrees would be straight up and down. I’m leaning toward a 30 degree angle but wanted feedback of what other dune buggy’s are. |

I'm not sure if there is a standard angle. I read somewhere that the windshield frame should be parallel to the seam at the hood and dash, but that would probably only apply to some 'glass bodies. I'm sure original Manxes had a recommended angle, or the angle was already built into the dash frame, but I think many people just eyeball it.
25 years ago (!), I used the original hood holes from the original '70s builder - didn't know the angle.
17 years later, I chopped the windshield 1.5" and tried it laid back a little more, parallel with the hood / dash seam, but I didn't like it:
This was a little too upright:
I ended up here, an eyeballed angle in between the pics above:
I chopped the windshield again in 2020, and kept the same angle:

I don’t remember if I asked you before. Is your buggy 90’s mustang yellow? Mine was it and it looks so similar. When I painted it, that yellow was pretty radical factory color. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Hey NJ John! It's 90's Jeep Malibu yellow, painted by the local Maaco. I know the 90's Mustang yellow you're talking about, it's similar!
