Is this worth much? I don't know anything about middle seats besides 4 or 6 legs and bring lots of $$ if you want one. |

that seat looks too far rusted to me, but if the handles are nice and you're willing to seperate them i'd be interested. _________________ I'd rather be a free man in my grave, than living as a puppet or a slave.

Rob-
Are you referring to the incident at the VW classic this past year?
I hope we can reunite that seat back to the bus.....

Oh, so that's a 6 leg middle seat... Guess I should have grabbed that one out of that '55 before I had it crushed, huh? _________________ -Andrew |

Hi Rob- I am that lucky guy. It's not all luck though, it's a mix of luck, spending my damn days on this site and the net in general, being educated about this stuff, very fast typing, very fast at dialing the phone, and knowing when to plunk the credit card down since there was you and another guy both on hold behind me.
I agree, I think that $1000 is cheap. I figured if the day ever came for me to get a seat like that, it was probably going to end up costing me closer to $2000 by the time it was in my '55. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

You know what's funny is that they don't value seats like we do in Europe. A deal went down in my swap spot at the Classic for a beautiful original upholstery RHD Barndoor Middle Seat. The seller only wanted 250 Euros (or was it Pounds???) for it. Needless to say, it was sold with a huge smile on the buyers face. The seller was completely aware of what it was too. I think it may end up going to the guy who ended up with Matt D's old '54 Barndoor RHD 23. Imagine being in his shoes and trying to find the seat for that Bus! _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

Rob-
I'm pretty sure the guy who bought the seat from D.A. respects what it is, where it came from, and isn't going to alter or change it like he original intended.
If I come up with a replacement seat frame I feel that we might be able to reunite this seat with the bus on the cover of the Popular mechanics.

Off topic, what makes you think that is that bus? Not that I doubt you, but is there proof? _________________ DKB |

So who owns the infamous PM cover bus now. I haven't heard anything about it since it was for sale a few years back _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

Not that it matters but I think that I heard something about that being the same Bus too. Not sure where or when I heard it but I recall something about it. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

I believe the entire ownership history is known and it is "proven". _________________ How to Post Photos
