Some update.

Made a separate thread for the door mods in the Pre-52 forum. Not yet fully finished them.
Hebmuller doors.

However. Yesterday I pulled the The 912 out of the garage and trailered it to the storage so I could pull out The Hebster from the barn.. It's been hiding there now for 15 years!

Yesterday I got two deliveries. One from France containing two oxidated door trims were as one had a severe compression in the middle and the other contained a pair of very nice rear quarter trims.

I fixed the dent on the door trim and cleaned them before polishing. Now I've got a nice set. Still just need a long one for the front hood..

Until now only measuringdevices have been me Eyeballing and using the tapemeasure.
Tested oit the new laser just for fun last week.

However I'll continue as before by Eyeballing and tapemeasure... Very Happy

It will be black and red as the original prototype was too.

Made some repair panels and new bumper mounts earlier this week.
Welded first panel today. I don't weld the mounts until the other side is also repaired.

Had some garagetime during the holidays, so I started fitting hingeboxes to the body. Now pretty close to final fitment.

Yesterday I was going to just weld a few spots. Ended up welding both sides of the body around the engine bay. I cut and tackwelded the sides and new top of the cowl over 20 years ago...

Looks like everything kept the shapes as they should and the enginelid still fits. :yahhoo:

I got these welded the past weekend!

Today I cut and fitted these repair patches ready for welding. These have to be welded before I can weld the "boxes" in the rear luggage area.

I does start look good when I get this area done!
