Christian Bale from a scene in the movie Ford vs Ferrari.
Looks like a Cal-look bug lowered & dechromed which would make it out of place for a movie about events that took place in the mid60s!
Assuming I’m correct in the origins of the Cal-look only date back to the mid-70s.

It’s fun to watch tv shows or commercials where they must contact a car club to shoot a retro scene. So many of the cars are customized hot rods in one way or an other. But, only car guys pick up on it.

An inordinate amount of time, Finster. Ha! The true story is that in the early 90's, my best VW buddy told me he saw this and while I thought it was interesting that a Bus was featured, I didn't go out of my way to track the movie down until recently when I thought about celebrities with VWs, so I Googled it and found it. Now I know there's a practical use for a nose-mounted spare tire on a Bus. I've never favored nose-mounted spare tires.
