Even those ribs... why weren't they cut out like on the Type 4s?

So you can remove/ replace the resonator/ tailpipe assembly with the muffler installed and to give extra clearance in that area to remove the muffler with the engine installed. Look at how the TP installs on the Type 4. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Yes, KT. That screen shot is about 1 second after the one I have in my gallery and posted in the "Type 3 in movies and on TV" thread, January 2023. I wrote for mine: TV show "Rhoda", episode 9 (extension of 1-hour long episode from 1974 "Rhoda's Wedding" filmed in New York City. Rhoda, in her wedding dress, walks past a parked beige Squareback. No headrests, seemingly wide side trim and front blinkers make it a '66. |

Wide trim is on that bug behind it This is most likely a 67. _________________
