realized its been a minute since ive posted any updates on here, Im finally done with physical therapy and back on my feet after many surgeries PT etc, hoping this spring i can get the 411 over to the new shop to work on . I did however find out some history on it from the last registered owner . it was sold new in Lima ohio , the gentleman drove it from his house in ohio to a cabin he had in Indiana , he fell ill and couldnt drive anymore and so the car was parked, ( around 64K mark ) when he passed his family inherited the car but never did anything with it , it was then sold to the last registered owner .

he attempted to get it running again but said the engine was cranking over then just stopped. he didnt investigate any further, ended up trading it off for a type 3 , the gentleman i bought it from bascially drug it home and parked it in his barn until i bought it . SO I get to dig into why the engine stopped turning over , either something mechaincal inside the motor, or possibly something with the ignition system ( starter / ignition switch etc . )

I do know I will need to patch a small section on the inner fender well and the spare tire well , which im curious can i use a super beetle tire tub to patch mine ?

this is the dealership mine was sold new from in 1972 Very Happy
