It may have been Berg literature about the heavy pulley giving a more balanced and longer engine bearing life. Which is why I have one for an engine build with a pro flanged crank which only comes with a 13lb flywheel, when I was wanting stock weight. Figured this would be a good idea to kill 2 birds with 1 stone if it does work as intended. And if not then not a big deal. The pulley I have is a true 7 inches and not the 6 3/4 which I also liked for fan speed.
