Not quite a "deal" but a free sample that is available is from Steel-It
A reputable beef boi named Quentin (syncroanddestroy) who used to work for VividVans spoke highly of this stuff - uses it to protect suspension parts.
I requested a free sample - he was using the 1012 Black.

Sorry Steve. It looks like they have the link on their home page, but that link is dead. I too expect they were overwhelmed with requests.
I hope I get a sample. I have been paying a local person to blast and paint suspension parts. I hoped to invest in my sandblaster and start doing this work myself. _________________ "Jo Ann" - '83.5 Westfalia EJ22e w/Peloquin

Dometic CFX355IM fridge on eBay.....price is suspiciously low (almost half off retail), but reviews seem to indicate its legit. Seller also appears legitimate. Purchase at your own risk?

It looks legit. It's a great fridge. The only issue is that, historically for me, Dometic thermistors only last 2 years for me. After replacing, they seem to last 3+ year with some Artic Silver thermal paste.
I wish they had the smaller size for about $300. _________________ "Jo Ann" - '83.5 Westfalia EJ22e w/Peloquin

Looks like it also allows for local pickup - in my case desertRat off-road store and all it adds is tax and doesn't show shipping. _________________ 83.5 Westy with Subaru 2.5, 4 spd manual, center seat, COLD A/C on 134a!, Winter camp heated with an Espar B4 gasoline furnace

Yeah looks like they've increased the price. I saw $300 earlier today, what a steal. I thought about grabbing one for backup/the next van _________________ "Jo Ann" - '83.5 Westfalia EJ22e w/Peloquin

Snuf was correct, pricing was $299 with free shipping however within the past 90 minutes, pricing changed.
If you order directly from ARB, pricing is still $299 with $99 2nd day shipping. I spoke with ARB moments ago to confirm pricing and availability. This is on clearance to clear out silver hard case. It appears everyone wants black. I also ordered the awning room 2.5 with free shipping. This is a killer deal!!!
As a side note, ARB TrackPack bag is on clearance for $59. This is a fantastic deal as I have needed one.
I was told by ARB quantity is limited. Best wishes!!! |

Surge pricing a la uber and lyft is being expanded throughout the online purchasing marketplace. It's super visible in event ticket sales especially. It's going to be great, just great. No I can't prove that's the case here, but I suspect it is. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. Camelcamelcamel.com is a useful tool for checking Amazon price history. Helps show if the amazing 20% off deal or whatever they’re advertising is any different than the year round price.
There’s no record of it being $299 with the link provided.

I thought this Trailer Hitch Cargo Basket for $99 was a good deal.
https://a.co/d/cRpZxDd
It looks like you choose either straps or net but they sent me both plus a huge cargo bag.
I mounted it without using the extension and hinged feature, I thought it was more important not to have the load cantilevered any more than I have to. I think that's okay.
It's rated for 550 lbs but what I have in mind is lightweight bulky items (tent, cot, etc.) so probably < 100 lbs. |
