Thanks! Hopefully I have been open enough about everything I have done on the Dub.
The roof rack is going to a new home today. Unfortunately it's too loud to have a conversation while driving. I've considered the options to fix that but not worth it. Good news is I am doing a partial trade sorry something I have wanted to add for a while. I'll up date after install. Heading to the shoreline show in Seattle today and hopefully everything will work out. More to come... _________________ 68 build that had been sitting for 18yr in a garage.

Yeah it's a game changer for me, never going to sell it now. |
Can I ask who's ragtop kit you used? I have looked at the Fabio Safari kits (solely based on their price) but am apprehensive of ordering from out of country and the language barrier.
Thanks! |

I did order from him and it took longer than he said. So plan on very long wait. Also the finish on the internal parts needed to have the sharp edges taken down some. The fit is decent but it will take a full 3 days if your into details. As far as the language barrier it was not bad. He did send me two videos of the actual kit when he got it and boxed up. Its not perfect like an OG but I was willing to work with what I got. I think It was going to be close to 2k after taxes from that place in AZ. Hope that helps figuring out what way you want to go. _________________ 68 build that had been sitting for 18yr in a garage.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Mine is a beater/driver/patina bug as well. Not looking to be factory authentic would just like to have the fresh air from above. His price point is what intrigued me although sunroofsource.com has lowered the price on this version so it has caught my attention as well.

No problem , mine is 38x50 and I would go as large as you can. Also theirs has two nobs you have to tighten down. Mine has single handle and clamps down like the factory one, not that it matters. |
yeah, that does matter. Thanks again for the feedback! |
