I found another "Peanut 09 Wagen"
only the second one I've ever seen apart from the box art photos (the other being my NIB). The body is in great shape and will restore nicely. I might try to carefully do a back pour of the body so I can repop a couple more.
Very rare piece. Gotta find a period correct 09 engine for it and start the resto.

Another bus I recently finished. I decided to go with the Martini Racing off road rally theme. The decals are left overs from a HPI Porsche RSR off road project. The body is from Team Blue 1/10 designed to fit the HPI cup racer chassis. HPI cup racer fuchs with Tamiya Hornet sand tires. Cut down Kyosho Blizzard tracks. My aluminum chassis and drive train. Integy 75T motors & Sabertooth esc.

Scored a MK1 Sand Scorcher recently! Mostly assembled, but never finished or driven. The MK1's had some cool minor differences. I've always wanted one and was happy to drop coin on this fine example! Came with the original box, paperwork, sales receipt, etc...
I've got some other projects to wrap up first, but will finish the assembly and box art the body soon. |

Thanks Tom. Here's that Digger I picked up from you a couple years back:
And a few more Diggers....
This is waiting for resto, but I've found a lot of NOS parts for it, including the body. It's a little earlier than the one above. The box looks like it came off the titanic, but I'll prob never find another one!
This was the later style Digger that moved away from the Jerobee chassis.
and a NIB one-
Now they are made by RJ Speed.
The bodies were pretty much the same, but you can see the evolution from Bug, to Bug with a blown motor, and then the last version has side pipes added.
And here's a street version I've been building based on the earlier Jerobee chassis. They were never sold like this, but I thought it would make a cool 70s track style car.
chassis is a clean vintage set up that someone raced back in the day. Has some subtle mods.

Here's my 25 year old RC10 that I used to be obsessed with. Actually very little of the RC10 is left. Carbon fiber chassis, Proline body [my paint], suspension, servos, electronics and motor. It's currently is packed away in storage. Maybe i need to dig it out again.

Very cool! I've been looking for one of those wing top Baja bodies. I have a frog with one on it, but it's pretty worn out. |

A few years ago I spent some time trying to find another body and came up short. I even called Proline and the guy I talked to had no idea what I was talking about.

Welcome to The Samba. I randomly came across your site a while back while looking for info/pics/literature on the Baja Bug and Sand Skipper based car. One of these days I'll get pics of mine up! |

years ago, You could buy a split bus body bare. It fit on the mini cooper RC car chassis. Anyone remember which one I'm talking about? I had them, it was stolen, and I'd like to build another one _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

Cheers for that!
Ah, yes I saw your pic here of all the kits in storage wrap...
Great collection there! The Kyosho Volkswagen Baja Bug is extremely, extremely rare in any condition. (Although I am selling one right now, as it just so happens)
The Mardaves are also a cool rarity you have there, nice work getting all those models together. _________________ www.rctoymemories.com |
