my understanding has always been that it meant you have to order some kind of specific option (probably one of the other product codes this manual is listed to be compatible with) to have those pins wired that way. I may try to see with my multimeter if there is some sort of signal on them on my radio (which is supposedly the "basic" model). _________________ cars:

I have one if anyone wants it - I had it installed and I didn't like the sound.
EDIT: Not for free, obviously. PM me to discuss. _________________ 1968 Beetle |

Amazon UK has them. Cheaper than I saw on ebay (and it's new not used). I ordered one for my '73 just to get some music in there. With shipping (which was expensive of course) it came out to about $110 USD. Eventually I plan on putting in a little more of a system but this will do well for me while I do a bunch of other work and don't need to worry about speakers and wiring. _________________ 1973 SuperBug - Project just starting.

| Before you grab that one on ebay, check out this web retailer who is selling them for $43.99. Their address is www.spot-reach.top. I've never heard of them. Worth looking into. |
I wouldn't trust that site as far as I can throw it. Almost everything is $43.99... _________________ 1978 1600cc FI Super Beetle Convertible |
