I believe it went well.. but I'd like to hear from the customers Smile

I would like to say that Im sorry for any waiting that you all had to endure. We were a little unsure just how many of you would come until you actualy got there. So needless to say we were a little unprepared. For that I apologize.

I have picks posted at our website http://spankys-grill.com/vw_cruise_in_1.aspx

I hope we can all get together for a small show in the field next to my place soon.... August or September?

Please give critique on my restaurant and the service you got. Dont hold back Smile

I said it before in another thread, We thank you very much for coming to the cruise in. We hope you enjoyed us and will return again. You all seemed to be a great bunch!

I just checked out the pictures on your site. I'm impressed! Looks like you had a great turn out. I will do everything in my power (all of which is controlled by my wife) to make the next cruise-in.

I'm the bald guy and I love them dang fried pickles. I'm going to the kitchen right now to start deep frying everything in the fridge to see what the next big thing is. I just have to remember not to deep fry or do any frying for that matter with my shirt off.

But I have been out of town and have not done anything to start setting up a VW show yet.

I have gotten a few emails asking if we still have plans to do a show.

I do want to do one soon. I have a Mopar show in September but still do not have a date on that one just yet... hopefully I will in the next week.

I will contact Ermal and see if he's interested in working with me.

It would help if any of you who are interested can make some suggestions for a date. It will be a Saturday event from 11am til whenever everyone is tired.

All VW drivers and vendors are welcome.

Im only 27 miles.... but I know in traffic on 66 that could be 2 hours.

But if you guys are interested we can plan something.

Look at google maps for an alternate route like the one below which is more scenic and smaller roads. (4 lane at largest).

From: W Main St/US-411/US-441 (Seveirville main intersection).

Drive:
17.6 mi – about 25 mins
1. Head west on W Main St/US-411/US-441 toward Hardin Ln
Continue to follow US-441

To:Chapman Hwy SE

Drive:
9.2 mi – about 16 mins

2. Head west (turn Right) on Chapman Hwy SE
98 ft
3. Take the TN-168 exit
0.2 mi
4. Turn right at E Governor John Sevier Hwy/TN-168
9.0 mi
15 mins
5. Turn right at Asheville Hwy

10 ft
1 min
To:
6200 Asheville Hwy
Knoxville, TN 37924
(Spanky's Grill)
865-525-8646

Total est time is 42 mins and 26.8 miles.

Let me know.

A cruise from your place to the Forge,up John sevier to Chapman hwy thru seymour to severville and peigon forge would be the best route. Up the interstate to 66 would run in to a bunch of traffic, but its not as bad now that school is back in and a lot of tourist have left.
