OK, That 'splains it.
What years will these work for? |
'50-March 1957 in the US or till the end of 1958 on Euro Semiphore Buses. |
Euro 58's have the bigger tail lights too, so upto 57 for the brackets. _________________

I thought that the brakelight decklid continued later than March of 1957 on Euro spec Buses until sometime in 1958. Is that not correct? _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

Linda - my main man Scotty schooled your trick ass!! Euro 58's had the same taillights through 61 leva! So NO, they don't use these brackets! You should have been paying attention in the Taillights 101 course, given by Professor Lind-O-Calrisian of the Institute of Modern Westies. BOOM on you!!! |

Callese! I was the substitute teacher for the Taillights 101 Class. I'm not positive that you guys are right on this one. I'm fairly certain that the brakelight decklid ran later in Europe than it did in the States. Can anyone confirm this via Progressive Refinements possibly? It ended in March 1957 here in the States and we then saw the new style "flat decklid" and "Dollar" taillights but I recall something about the brakelight decklid continuing on Euro spec Buses and they continued with the "semiphore" style taillights as well. I could be wrong but I won't admit it until someone clearly shows me that I am. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

I think that the specs varied for different european countries, although I am only an expert on USA spec buses so I am not sure on what is right here. _________________ .

Linda..............all 58 buses which I have ever encountered, remember you DON'T leave San Diego, whether Euro Specs or not.......have the 58-61 taillights. I haven't seen a 58 Euro Bus with those replacement or standard flat glass dual fillament taillights. They also used these, but in single fillament, on BD's.
So No, I didn't fall asleep trick! I graduated with honors and was validitorian of my class. BOOM on you truco.
The guy down under doesn't know what he has? He needs to attend Professor Lind-O-Calrisians Taillights 101 course. You too! |

So Lind- Are you not in agreement that the end date of the brakelight decklid and semiphore style taillights very well could have been later than the March 1957 cutoff that we saw here in the States? I am almost positive it ran later in other countries, not exactly sure what the cutoffs were but I swear it ran into 1958 in some countries. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

I don't know when the engine lid changed over, but as johnny said all 58's have the bigger back lights. _________________

If there are 58 buses with those types of taillights..........they were either added on by the owner or if they do exist in Europe? Then they came from there?? Cuz while living in Rome & Utrecht, I never encountered this. You know what I mean, Right? I never saw this in Tel Aviv ? And remember trick, Professor Lind-O-Calrisian is an expert in US Specs. Though he did a stint at Oxford. REALLY
Gibbs - you see this in your native country of Meh Hee Koh? |
