Where the heck can I buy whitewall tires that don't cost a fortune". COKER is a fortune.

I need two 135R15 or 145R15 and two 165R15 with 2" to 2.5" whitewalls.

My fingers are getting tired doing alot of typing.

Thanks, Roger

You know, I've seen somewhere on the internet somebody selling or looking for white wall disks that glue on to your regular black wall tires. I guess they would glue on.
I really don't remember where I saw them or what they're called but I'm sure they cost less than Coke white walls.
Good Luck,
Ron

Those 'PORTAWALL' fake whitewalls are the wirst. One curb and they turn into wavy gravy and you flapp all the way home.

I'll keep looking however I may end up at COKER. Only if there is no other choice.

Thanks, Roger

sorry guy, just trying to help. Like Kel Dub said, I don't think you'll find the low profiles in a whitewall either. If you like driving onto curbs so much, maybe you should look at some off-road tires.

Like you never hit a curb in your life. Unless your only 13 years old. I guess at that age you don't drive yet.

I did find out that there are NO 135 or 145R15 whitewalls made. Out with the white paint! Cool

If you want 135 or 145 white walls just buy the inserts and be done with it.

Personally, if I cared about the whitewall look, i think I'd go for the "frisbee" faux whitewalls myself. Between the 4 or 5 bugs I've driven since 1989, I've put on about 450K, and in all that time I think I've brushed a curb twice. Those look like good odds in my book. However, I just don't like whitewalls so I can live without them just fine.

there was a guy on the samba with a convertible rat 60's bug (black) on airbags who had 135 tires with 2.5" whitewalls (non-porta walls). he told me he had some special tire place in his area take out a small strip along the edge of the tires and make them into whitewalls. looked pretty cool. i saw his bug in the bug gallery under convertibles...you cant miss it. it has red rims if that makes it any easier to find.
