Curious, I’ve been attempting to install new seals on my project, I purchased WCM. Seals, I’ve literally spent the past 3 plus hours chasing just the 1st seal.
Totally frustrated..help please.
Thanks

Part of the issue is you are often sold bus bullet seals for use on an oval, and the oval housings are larger. If you stretch out the bus seal, eventually it will crack apart. Be sure they're not selling you a one-size-fits-all.
If the part number starts with a 211, it's definitely the wrong seal. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I initially purchased ftom WW, as you can see they sell them for both the bug and the bus as the Description: TURN SIGNAL SEAL, bullet style, seals housing to fender on Beetles, housing to nose on Buses, Mid'55-1957 U.S. Beetles, Mar'55-1961 Bus, made by Wolfsburg West, set of 2
So now I will contact WCM.
SEALS, FRONT TURN INDICATOR, BUG 1954-57, BUS 1955-62, GHIA 1956-59 *MADE IN USA BY WCM*
Part #: 111-191F-L/R
VW#: 111-953-165
If you have a source other than those please feel free.
Appreciate it

I recently installed a set from WW also. Mine were not the same thickness around the entire seal. I also thought they were the same thickness. Didn't know which way to rotate them on the housing. They fit fine other than the orientation of the seal on the housing. |
