What's the deal with the back reflector? Is it 1 or 2 or any for a '56 kombi? Any information, pics, mounting dimensions would be appreciated.

2 reflectors, one under each taillight.
55-57 are "small diamonds".
You want reflectors, not big taillights |
Everett is right. Get the correct reflectors and play catch with your dog with those frisbees that are on there now. Good boy. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

you guys are crazy, the correct way to install tractor taillights is to start from the original hole, and cut pie slices with shears and bend all the slices inward till the body of the tractor light fits. then just screw that bad boy in with a couple sheet metal screws.
i dont know why people got to insist on reinventing the wheel....... _________________ flossin, tossin, dippin, and trippin |

they are NOT hella reflectors. they are glass and are nice assemblies, but they are not Hella. They look ok, and would be fine for a driver where anal originality was not the main issue. look around though, because the price fluctuates. i've seen them as low as $90 a pair shipped, to $125 shipped, all from the same guy! |

here's a pic of one of them on a bus:

i recently paid $175 for a pair of super duper nice Hella reflectors (claimed to be "replacement" reflectors above). was happy to pay it considering their condition. would have paid the same for the ebay ones, but the reserve was not met. |

Looks good. I have been looking for 5 years for 2/'55 barndoor reflectors at a decent price. My bus is beat, so no need for NOS. I have some later cracked reflectors that will fill a hole for someone. _________________ ---
