Hello-
Quick question for other Ghia owners. I have owned two Ghias in the past; currently have a 1972 coupe. I am purchasing a 1968 coupe, originally painted red. Engine compartment has been painted black. Were all Ghias from the factory sprayed one color, as I'm assuming? Perhaps this was done as a rust-inhibiting measure, by the dealer (spare tire wheel well is undercoated/rustproofed), or by a subsequent owner. I've seen some others like it, although my other Ghias had/have the same (as the rest of the car) color back there. Thanks for any enlightenment on this!

The entire body was painted at the same time. Anything that looks like rust-inhibiting paint was done by a previous owner. I've done it to both my Ghias.
