A pic of this barndoor just showed up in the gallery and I noticed that I have a piece from it! I have the little metal and porcelain oval from the back that says "USA". Actually, it may not be from this exact bus  , but I just picked up this item about a week ago.
What are these things officially called? I assume they're country ID tags for European cars that identifies them with a specific country. I've seen lots of these tags with European country designations on them, but the one I found (USA) is the first I've seen with this designation. Were these for cars that were originally in the US then sent to Europe or for cars that were purchased in Europe that were used by US military personnel?

The thing I noticed was that the woman and the girls are wearing Winter coats, and some of them even have wool caps, but, Damn if they aren't rolling that barndoor with the sunroof open! Shit Yeah!
