Heres all the info i could find from various places.
I have a june of 62 and am trying to install a late 60s big nut tranny.

wolfsburg west says there is only one bus front transmission mount for non split case buses- 59-67.
Bus depot says there is a front mount for 63-67 but doesnt list the earlier one.
type2parts.com says there are 2 mounts, 59-63 with 8mm studs, and 64 -67 with 10mm studs. (Ronnie theres also a typo regarding the size of the studs it says "10mm was larger then 63 and later" ?)

And my VW parts list says 59-july62 and then july62 to 67. 211301265 and 265 A. Is the only difference the 8mm vs 10mm studs sticking out of the mount?

So what is the true story, where is the year cut off, and what mount would I need to put a big nut tranny into a "small nut tranny bus"? Or would the 63/64 to 67 mount work?

Once again BAP tried to sell me the wrong stuff (I think it was a type3 front mount) and they also tried to sell me the same used throwout bearing that i gave back to them the LAST time they tried to sell it to me! But thats another story.

Depends on the nose cone and if the holes are wallowed out or not. I have both in stock and also carry a genuine VW mount, that is much better then the fake German ones
