Anybody know of a good and honest Vanagon mechanic/shop in
Portland, OR? Vanagon.com lists both Hans' Foreign Auto Service and Heckmann & Thiemann Motors. Any opinion on those or any others would
be appreciated.
Right now I just need an oil change and coolant flush and maybe a tune up.
Thanks,

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I worked for a guy named CAMRON. He has to be 50+ by now. Never paid me on time, shister in the extreme, liked strippers, paid them insted. Called his shop verywell inc. to avoid the wrath of VW America. Snake _________________ LEARN TO SELF RESCUE

MountianSide Auto in Newberg is where I go. I actually purchased the van from him and he keeps it going for me. He has a state of the art shop and is well respected. Mark Wendt is who you need to speak with. He is the owner and loves the Vans. He has owned a lot of them. I don't have his phone # but will find it if you need it. Newberg is not that far from Portland. Good luck. |

I've used Halsey and D&M in Beaverton. Like them both. Heard great things about Heckman or Hans too. |

I've used Hans Foreign Auto for all the major work on my 87 Westy and they've taken good care of me. Give them a call, (503) 254-5859. If you need parts, Halsey Automotive has everything at better than competitive pricing. |
