I have a friend who last night while we were trying to
recycle Bass & Co Pale Ale bottles by emptying the
contents, asked me if I have ever seen any VW rot rods.
I didn't know what he was talking about, but he has it
in his head to do this to an old 68 he has at the house.
He wants to paint it flat black, pull the fenders, stick on
aftermarket ole style hot rod fenders mounting them at
the backing plate bolts, paint the wheels red with wide
white walls and chrome stock hubcaps. He has
already changed it over to the 5 lug wheel setup.
He says he'll lower it some. He wants it sort of like
the current old style hotrod thing that is going on now..
I don't know about this..
I'm wondering if anyone has any pics of something like
this being attempted ? If so I can show him and maybe
talk about this deal sober. I think it'd look goofy as h*ll,
but it's not my ride.
Any help or info is appreciated _________________ Hmm, ruff.

Thanks for the link. Some of em didn't look bad at all, but
it's obvious that if he wants to go this route, the top has
to be chopped or removed. At least to me, but again its
not my ride. I'll show him the link. _________________ Hmm, ruff. |
