After building 3 street buggies and a tyoe 2 I decided I wanted a Thing. I started with a completely rusted out thing and in 7 months turned into this. First judged car show...first place in class. If you want more pics look in th "Thing from Hell" thread or in the gallery.
Thanks for looking

Here are a couple of pics of Zoe, my 1971 Thing. She was purchased in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2003 and driven back to the States. My Great Dane co-pilot is Oz...he thinks Zoe is 'his'. I also have a '79 Westy and a '68 project Ghia.

That's the reason why I bought it...I loved the desertcolor too. In the 5 years that I drive my 181, I've added some stock items (roof, mirrors, hubcaps, seating...)...and a few stickers offcourse |

Well, here is the new baby...
Not a great picture (it was taken with a Palm Zire) but there will be more in the future.
And an ass shot!
Plates came with the car, since the bolts the previous owner used, fused... Not even PB'laster could break'em! Ah well, they're off now thanks to Mr. Hacksaw...
Was trying to think of a use for the plates, maybe as a battery tray...heh.
More pics as I go along!
