not a bad find, although something looks crooked with that rear cage.

also, you can go into your user profile and add all that crap from the end of your profile in your signature

Looks as if the header is crooked.

Take a close look at the cooler system.. these things have cooked many engines.

Nice ride...

When I installed a new set of tri-mills, I had a hell of a time getting them to line up and they ended up crooked, not quite that bad though. I now have a U bend with an muffler so Its not very noticeable, I was never able to get them 100% straight.

WELL it depends on what your looking to do. if your going for a weekend worrier and play car that is just for the dirt and mud you could go for a wide tread pattern and as big as you want. now if its going to be for the road and basic off road i would go with a goodyear a/t. noting biger than 30 in. they start to rub as your make tight turns. it all comes down to style of driving(ie what its used for ) and your budget.(damn budget. goverment taking all those taxes, and then theres the wife.) but ya good luck dude. keep us posted.

Congrat on your new baby.

believed a baja is intended for the street use with 135 SR 15 up front.

unquie front bumper and headlight set up.

can't go wrong for the purchase price.

Good Luck & Happy Off Roading.

I'm a strong believer in all the Baja bug being used for both on & offroad,

I drive my Baja to 300mile location and ran another 400mile off road before hit back on the freeway again. a baja ran mostly 80MPH on the fwy
and very stable ride.

if Baja can not handle the on road mostlikely will not handle the offroad.

I like it, and it makes me jealous!

Of course, I am jealous of anyone with a running Baja, mine is in about as many pieces as you can take a VW apart... Laughing

This is my opinion, you should match paint the fenders to the body color.
this way you have a single colored Baja bug.

go happy off roading for a while and when everything is in the shape
go ahead and re paint the whole car.

Friend don't let friend drive a primer VW.
