| Hey there fellow dubbers, finally got my first SB, a 1971, and I'm down here in J'ville, Tx. Heard of a VW club over in Nacogdoches, but didn't know if there were any others in the area as well. 45 min to an hour on a week night one way isn't too bad, but 30 min to one say in Tyler or Athens would be nicer, LOL! I'm loving Samba so far, I feel I'm in great company! |

I live north of you in Hideaway. Right by Lindale on I-20. East Texas VDub club is a great group of people I was introduced to by the guys at Oakhill in Longview. I have not had a chance to make a meeting because of the drive myself. I would love to get a group together to cruise Tyler though. I have a friend one block over that has a SB Baja that we are close to getting road worthy. Let me know if your interested. _________________ 1967 Daily Driver

Dan and DailyT Mineola would be a good place to meet. It is a very neat old style town that has sidewalk restaurants and nice back roads. Should be a 15-20 minute drive for all of us. I have 3 kids, a full time job, and furthering my education so extra time is hard, but I always make exceptions to cruise. Just give me a long heads up. _________________ 1967 Daily Driver

Anyone want to meet for breakfast Saturday 14th and cruise locally? If anyone needs help getting their ride road worthy, let me know. I would really like to get some VW people together in this area. Anyone planning on making any upcoming shows? I'm thinking about going up to North Little Rock for the Big Dam VW Show. I lived in the Little Rock area for 6 years and it is a very fun place. Let me know if you interested. _________________ 1967 Daily Driver

| The Select Theater in Mineola ( oldest continuously operating movie theater in Texas ) will be hosting a showing of "The Love Bug" In May to celebrate 45 years since it came out with a local credit union picking up the cost of the tickets . It will be on a Saturday morning at 10.30 in downtown as I said all tickets free . if we can get enough interest we could possible;y close Johnson street and let you guys fill the block with beetles . any takers ? |

I unfortunately do not get time to post on here as much as I'd like, but am excited to see this thread slowly growing. Did anyone make it to Nacogdoches today? The movie theater sounds interesting. What date is the Saturday scheduled. If anyone needs help with anything let me know. I'd love to get a dinner or breakfast run going maybe once a month. Any takers? _________________ 1967 Daily Driver
