i am new to working on cars in general, so i am taking things very slowly in hopes of learning as i go, and not screwing things up too badly...

that said, i have a 56 bug and recently lowered the rear end. i found it much easier to slide the axle assembly back out of the spring plate bracket on the passenger side than on the driver side... the driver side seemed like it didn't have as much room to move backwards... the brake lines weren't binding up, it just seemed to be hitting something in the back of the engine that it wasn't hitting on the passenger side...

any reason this would be? or does it sound like something is wrong?
