This Firday thru sunday in Watkins Glen NY, in the lovely southern Tier part of the fingerlakes, a VW camp out and Raodrace track event for ALL VWs splits, bays, vans, eurovans, and even some VWs are tenting it.
Saturday there are Winery tours, Hike through the Glen Gorge, Cruise to Corning MUseaum of Glass..
Sunday is a run on Watkins Glen Intl racetrack (Indy, NASCAR)
you do NOT need to pre-register, we will be in the Tuscorora loop and you can come up and check in at the ranger's office and nab an open site. save yourself $9 fee to www.reserveamerica.com to boot.

Last Call for Westies @ Watkins IV
Hi Guys,
It is happening next weekend Sept. 30 - Oct 2. We should be a big crowd this year as the word is spread from Ottawa to Buffalo.
It should be a great week-end in this part of NY with mid 60's during the days and cool 40's at night. The affects of Rita should have blown by and all back to normal.
Again ALL VW vehicles are welcome, not just Westfalia types. Any year and Any model. Several years ago we even took a Rialta on the race track. The most expensive VW that day.
We could also call this "Transproter on the Track" to invite ALL Transporters.

Campground is around $20 per night with great clean bathrooms and lot of open and wooded areas.

Track will cost $25 per vehicle - does not matter the type or brand at this point.
If we get 40 people doing this the price will drop to $15 per vehicle.
SO COST MAY BE $15 for 3 LAPS.
