Why does the rear window on the Barndoor in this article look so wrong? I thought if you had a Kombi it had a small rear window. The pics are from an original article on buses from Mechanics Illustrated (sept '54).
Just wondering....

that bus is a '50 or early '51 which would not have had a rear window, but driving a car with no rear window sucks, so many people hacked one into those early buses. note the closeable bulkhead in the back of the bus which is an early feature.
