Wow, that was fast. #2 is a Zirc fitting with a "syringe" on the inside. Not sure what that would be used for. _________________ '76 VW Campmobile

For shoving grease into fittings with rubber cover- like ball joints. _________________ my59: Well son, my grandfather died before I got to drive it, so does that answer your question?

It could be that but the photo is poor. Also looks a bit like the end of an adjustable throttle linkage.
The rubber thing looks like some kind of a trans buffer screwed onto some miscellaneous parts. |

Difficult to say without anything for scale in the pic but the springs look a little like the ones at the forward end of the parking brake handle. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

| Only the two large "shuttlecock" shift bushings will work on your bus. The smallest bushing (i call it a "top hat" bushing.) fits early baywindow models. '68 up to I think '73. (feel free to correct me on the '73 if need be.) the midsize split bushing fits all bugs as well as buses 1967 and older. except for the very old old buses that required no front bushing at all. |
