I'm in the UK
the car is a '68 karmann bodied 912 imported from the USA
the front shocks are COMPLETELY worn out and need replacing
but I can tell which struts are fitted Sad

Ive taken off the wheels and cleanded and scrubed , but all I can find by way of markings is a small logo low down on each strut
it is an oval with a rectangle through the middle

looks like a burger bun with a square burger in it
the rectangle looks to have had some writing in it or a word or something but I cant read it

doe this ring a bell with anybody as to what insert I need to get
the best advice Ive got in the UK is that its probably boge as most USA cars of that era were firtted with them

but that doesnt help me with non returnable inserts which are damn expensive, especialy if they turn out to be the wrong ones

HELP PLEASE

You can tell by the color. I found this advice from Pelican Parts when I was looking to order replacements...

"Orange struts are Koni, green are Bilstein and Gray or Black are Boge. "

Here's the link...

good luck,
