|
|
We had 2 threads going on about this so here's the MAIN one and the one we'll use for now on. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, basically a Group of Aircooled drivers in Norcal wanted to meet-up between big shows so we've put together a monthly gathering. The place and venue will change each time.
Last night, Nov. 11th, was the first one. It went good with 10+ cars meeting at In N Out in Pleasanton. I'm sure more will come out once the word gets out and we're consistent.
I'm setting-up a little NAG website where people can get info on the next gathering and get added to an email list. I'll email everyone a flyer for each event. As well as post it on TheSamba.
The NAG link will be www.aircooledshop.com/nag.html _________________ Tinkering with my '66 and '57 Buses https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=727687

Damn Tony, you are on the ball man! First gathering on Fri night and by Sunday morning you've got a web page up!
My only (humble) suggestion would be to pick a location and stick with it. I think if people have to read emails every month and map out new locations it will hurt attendance. Pleasanton is a very "fair" location, crossroads of 680 and 580, etc.
Just my 2 cents, but I'll plan to be there next month no matter where you have it. |

Well, we had 11 cars and about 15 people out in the cold from 8-10. 3 type II's, 3 type III's, 4 bugs, 1 ghia.
Good times, we should do it again next month. What would we think of trying a sunday afternoon in a park where we could drink and maybe have some sunshine?
Tony - did you break down or something? We were all looking for you. _________________ 1967 Bug, 1967 Ghia

pizza and BEER. P-town is a good location. 30 minutes from anywhere in the bay area. there is a few places in dublin off 580/680 with big open lots. there would be plenty of space for everyone to sit. its not a bar so if your under 21 you can still hang out. we need to keep this going. _________________ www.cultwagen.com |

There's a round table on main street in downtown p-town that has a big parking lot. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.
