Does any one have any pictures of a baja that has a rollcage with shockmounts, but is still using a backseat? I am getting ready to install a chenowith class 11 cage as a starting point and I hate reinventing the wheel. Any pictures or link to pictures would be appreciated. |

the chenowth class 11 is installed in my baja, there a thread down the page title doyles 1970 baja, or something to that effect, you cannot use the cross brace that comes with the kit if you plan on running a back seat, the diagonal that goes from roof to rear parcel tray, |

I'm in the process of doing one right now. I'll try to post some photos later. To make a structurally sound cage, you will need to at least notch the sides of your seat back like Shmo did or go with a 36" Suspension Bench seat, because you will probably want to run a brace from your bumper mount on the firewall to the B Pillar hoop and that will interfere with the stock seatback. I did that and then ran a diagonal from the top of that hoop back to the firewall like Shmo's. I'm designing as I go, with lots of help from photos of what other guys have done. _________________ 69 Baja Bug
