|
|
hey all im lookin at replacing injectors and cold start valve and was hoping to get some input before i spend all that money....im wondering if anyone has any experience using the cheap rebuilt guys from busdepot or non bosch ones from somewhere else....does bosch performance warrant the increase in price.....also are there aftermarket injectors that might work better with todays gasoline than oe.....thanks for all the help-sean |

Before I would spend the money on new ones, I would send them to Cruzin Preformance
http://www.cruzinperformance.com/
and have yours overhauled. They will clean, flow and replace the pintle caps and the hoses for about $75. They come back as good as new (he even repaints them). _________________ Geology with a Syncro rocks!

thanks for the suggestion dp ive seen this before and i think the issues im having arent related to the injectors being dirty,i think it has more to do with the fuel flow getting sloppy....they test fine as far as proper spray pattern and not leaking but this is all done statically....i believe the issues arise with engine running when everything gets to vibratin |

I sent mine to cruzin and would second that advice. They not only cleaned the injectors but also pretty much rebuilt them. They put on new pintle caps, replaced the internal screens, new seals and hoses attached, in addition to the cleaning and flow testing of them. They sent me the results of the injectors' performance before/after, and I was/am greatly impressed.
I noticed a huge improvement in driveability once the revamped injectors were installed. Obviously, YMMV. |

I have some NEW BlueStreak Injectors on order, the partsman swears by them. Says he's never seen any come back whereas often he has had to replace the rebuilt ones. I am giving them a try mostly because they are only costing me $65.00 CAD per injector. However with that being said I'd be interested to know if anyone out there has had a problem with them.

thanks for all the input.....the main reason im hesitant to send them for cleaning is that my only other way of gettin around is the dirtbike and id like to get this done before its actually warm enough to commute with the bike....how about cold start valves, have you heard of them workin on those....shoot i should just talk to them....perciate all the info-sean |
